Sandra (Renfrow) Miller

Sandra Rae "Sandy" Renfrow, 64, of Hammond, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, in Astoria.

She was born June 17, 1947, in Astoria, to Burton and Vida Skeels Miller.

Raised in Warrenton, she graduated from Warrenton High School in 1965.

On April 26, 1969, she married David Renfrow in Hammond. He survives, residing in Hammond.

Mrs. Renfrow spent most of her life on the North Coast, but did live in Alaska and California briefly while her father was stationed there. She owned her own hair salon, Sandy's Hair Fashions, for more than 30 years. She also worked for the Warrenton post office and operated a home health-care business for four years.

Family members said her interests included cutting hair and playing with her grandchildren. She was her grandson's caretaker for many years.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Karrie and David Curtis of Everett, Wash.; a brother, Burt Miller of Warrenton; two grandchildren, Fender and Mackenzie Curtis of Everett; and many other family members.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, at The Mission Christian Fellowship, 525 N.W. Warrenton Drive in Warrenton. A funeral will follow in the church at 11 a.m., with concluding rites and vault interment at Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton.
