Linda Knotts

 

Linda Lee Knotts passed away peacefully at home, with all her family present, July 6, 2021. Linda was born July 13, 1942, to Melvin and Marian (Kinsey) Pope, in Olympia, WA. The family lived on a farm in Lacey, WA. The Pope family moved to Warrenton in 1951, when Mr. Pope bought 5 shares in Astoria Plywood Plant. Linda attended Warrenton schools, graduating from Warrenton High School in the class of 1960. After graduation, she attended Linfield College in McMinnville for 2 years. She transferred to Oregon College of Education in Monmouth, where she graduated with her elementary school teaching credentials in 1964. Her first year of teaching was in Oakridge, OR. She married Don Knotts June 6, 1965. She then taught 2 years in the Reynolds school district in Gresham.
After moving to Hillsboro in 1967, she continued teaching 4 more years in Hillsboro elementary school district. Linda then taught 7 more years in a Christian school in Beaverton. After retiring from teaching, she kept very busy home schooling her daughter, and engaging in various Christian ministries.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Larry. She is survived by her husband Don, two children, Patrick Knotts, Eugene, and daughter Jennifer Claus, Hillsboro. Three grandchildren, Samara Roberson, Beaverton, Alan Knotts and Hannah Knotts, Hillsboro. Two great granddaughters, Ashlynn and Makayla “KK” Roberson, Beaverton. She is also survived by two nieces, Beth Ann Pope, McMinnville, and Jill Pope, Portland.

Linda will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends, all of her family, and many people who she helped in her many years of Christian ministry. The family requests no donations.
