BernaDean Lenhard, 72, of Shelley, Idaho, formerly of Warrenton and Astoria, died Sunday Oct. 7, 2012, in Shelley.

She was born Sept. 30, 1940, in Moscow, Idaho, to Orval E. and Gladys (Cole) Hart.

In 1958, she graduated from Warrenton High School. She attended Nap Business College in Tacoma, Wash.

In 1961, she married Gary Edward Lenhard in Warrenton. He survives, residing in Shelley.

Mrs. Lenhard was a secretary at the Astoria Plywood Mill, a co-owner of Peter Pan Market, a secretary at Lewis and Clark Elementary School and an administrative secretary for the Educational Service District in Astoria. She lived in the Warrenton and Astoria area for 35 years. She also was a co-owner of Orange Julius, The Candy Shoppe and Tumblewood Pony Rides in Bend. She retired in 2007.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sisters, Elaine Clark of Ortig, Wash., Tim Watters of Redmond and Judith Soles of Canby; two daughters, Heidi Gage of Shelley and Lana Lukinich of Sheridan; three grandchildren, Vanessa Bowman and Wendi Gage of Bend and Dusty Lukinich of Sheridan; and a great-granddaughter, Madison Bowman of Bend.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Abott.

A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, at the United Methodist Church, 224 N. Bridge St. in Sheridan.
